NAAC ACTIVITIES

Activities already initiated by the QAC/Academic cell, O/o DCE.

1. Three meetings for the principals of Govt.Degree Colleges were organized for creating awareness about NAAC assessment, covering 75 colleges.
2. One meeting for the principals of 35 Govt. Degree Colleges on preparation of Self Study Report to be submitted to NAAC for assesssment in association with the Academic Staff College , University of Hyderabad .
3. Four meetings for the Coordinators of Govt.Colleges on preparing the Self Study Report.

4. Six programmes in six university areas in association with NAAC, Bangalore on Quality and NAAC Accreditation covering about 300 Govt., Aided and un-aided colleges.
(First two meetings for S.V.U & S.K.U areas held on 9th & 10th November, 2005).
Third programme for Acharya Nagarjuna University area is on 24.11.2005 at GDC (W) Guntur in which Prof. V.S.Prasad, Director NAAC will participate. .

ENGLISH LANGUAGE FELLOW PROGRAMME (ELF)

A Ten Month English Language Fellow Programme is commenced from 8th November 2005 in the state with the arrival of Mr. George Bishop, English Language Teaching Professor, from USA . .

1. The Sensitization programme of Jawahar Knowledge Centers (JKCs) has been initiated on 12th December 2005.
2. The teams from Collegiate Education and Institute for Electronic Governance are visiting JKC colleges and giving guidance to the Students and staff.
3. Screening test for students seeking admission into Jawahar Knowledge Centers is on 25th Jan 2006

Multinational companies are visiting JKC’s established in Government Degree Colleges in the State for placement purpose.

As on June 16, 2006, 45 JKC Students from B.Sc (Computer Science) Course have been selected in Satyam Computers.
